To provide opportunities for secondary students to explore STEM related careers and address the gap between college eligibility and college readiness, the Missouri City (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, partnered with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M to provide students from E-STEM Academy and Mickey Leland College Prep with tools, resources, and counsel to better equip them to enter college. Collaborations included scholarship review and counsel, college readiness workshops, and college tours. To date, six students have been awarded scholarships from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
